Catch the good stuff

Positive emotions are one of the five building blocks of the Mind Builders Challenge. They are not about pretending that everything is always positive. Instead, young people are encouraged to recognise positive emotions when they happen and intentionally create opportunities for gratitude, mindfulness and joyful experiences.

This activity invites you to notice the small actions and experiences that can contribute to positive emotions and reflect on what creates positive moments in your own life.

In this activity, you will explore how small moments can contribute to your wellbeing. You will search through an interactive scene to find examples of gratitude, joy, mindfulness and positive connections with others. Each discovery will reveal a simple way you can create or recognise positive emotions in everyday life. Finally, you will think about your own day and identify a positive moment you experienced and something you can do to create more positive moments for yourself or someone else.

This connects directly with the Positive Emotion building block, which encourages recognising positive emotions and practising gratitude, mindfulness and joyful routines.
