QSL competition
When two radio stations complete a radio contact (QSO), they exchange their respective QSL cards, with contact information and personalized graphics. During JOTA-JOTI, amateur stations can prepare specific QSLs, presenting the scout group, or something peculiar about the local place or culture. This is the chance to show your unique QSL to the world!
Here below are some examples of JOTA-JOTI QSLs:
The scout group, supported by the amateur radio operators, will prepare a personalized postcard for the event. A QSL is tipically 140 mm x 90 mm large. The front usually includes the station callsign, fancy graphics, images or drawings, while the rear reports the callsign, the station location and contacts of the amateur radio operator or of the scout group (never indicate child contacts). The rear also has a table to indicate the main information of the radio contact:
- the callsign of the contacted statio
- the date of the contact
- the UTC time of the contact
- the frequency, the mode and the power used in the contact
- the signal report (RST) you sent and the one you received.
- Other information collected during the contact.
