“Is Intergenerational Collaboration Possible?” is an interactive session where adult participants pilot a self-assessment tool on intergenerational collaboration in Scouting, then explore real case studies of it working in practice. Participants leave having reflected on their own organisation’s practice and seen concrete evidence that meaningful collaboration across generations is achievable.

Building a culture of recognition at every level of the movement is a key way to recruit and retain volunteers today. As part of International Volunteer Year 2026, we're sharing practical ways from around the world to make recognition part of everyday leadership in Scouting, not just an annual thank you. Bring your own practices and questions, and leave with ideas for your team and your national scout organisation.

We all love Scouting but being a volunteer leader can be hard. We don't always have the time, energy, or money that we want to invest in our scouts. If you have ever wondered, "how can we make it easier to be a leader with our group (or district, council, camp, . . .)?", then this session is for you!

Over the course of 60 minutes, we will discuss different "new ways" of volunteering that can help engage new volunteers, spread the work evenly across existing volunteers, and strengthen the capacity of leaders to support their scouts. Come with an open mind, prepared to learn from others and to share your own experiences as a volunteer!

Join us for Community Map, a hands-on, creative workshop where young changemakers explore what makes their neighborhood tick! Using everyday art supplies like newspapers, magazines, and craft materials, participants will build a colorful map of their local surroundings to highlight where people feel happiest, healthiest, and safest.

We know that preventing violence may seem overwhelming or even impossible. That's why this workshop will introduce you to the Health Approach to Violence Prevention and will help you connect with your own capacity to interrupt cycles of violence and generate new possibilities of peace. This session is offered by the United Religions Initiative, a global grassroots network of interfaith activists leading initiatives of peace, justice and healing around the world.

How can social media be used as a platform for democratic debate, education and activism? 
In this simple session, you will create a post or video that conveys an important democratic message, and discover how social media can influence society and politics.
In addition, you'll also learn to formulate a clear message, and also to understand that different platforms convey messages differently.

QSL postcards are a nice tradition of amateur radio. Prepare a JOTA-JOTI 2026 QSL card for your station or group, and show it to the world!

You don't necessarily need huge stations to connect to the world via radio. Via Echolink, you just need a portable transceiver. Try it out!

Antennas are the most visible (and critical part) of an amateur radio station....but there's no need to spend much, you can build it yourself! Show your electronic skills to the world!

Are you an electronic guru? Is creating circuits your passion? Try to build a crystal radio (no batteries needed) or a AM/FM receiver, and show your masterpiece in action!

Meet Scouts from around the world through JOTA-JOTI Video Calls!

Discover your environmental impact and learn how to reduce it! In this activity, you will calculate your personal carbon footprint, identify the areas where you generate the most emissions, and learn simple actions to reduce them. By making small changes, you will contribute to caring for the planet in a conscious and sustainable way.

Ever wondered how a Scout badge actually gets designed? 

Behind every challenge is someone deciding what to test, how to reward it, and what makes finishing feel worth it. 

In this activity, you become that designer. Pick a cause you care about, then build your own mini challenge badge. A name, three tasks, a symbol, and a way to know when it's earned. Then share it with Scouts from around the world.

This global campaign invites Scouts everywhere to step outside, explore their surroundings, and take part in a shared adventure with Scouts around the world.
